Regional President of RBC, Martin Thibodeau, shares a message on being the presenting sponsor for the Darpan Extraordinary Achievement Awards.
DARPAN is excited to announce its 14th Annual DARPAN Extraordinary Achievement Awards which is set to take place on Friday, September27, 2024, in Surrey. We come together to celebrate the achievements and extraordinary people of the South Asian community.
“We are excited that RBC is joining us this year in celebrating the achievements of the South Asian community, and helping us put the event together,” say DARPAN Magazine’s publisher Ramneek Dhillon.
The spectacular Awards gala will honour ten remarkable individuals within the South Asian community who embody the spirit of community and believe in giving back through their own avenues in an effort to build society.
Dr. Sakena Yacoobi founded AIL in 1995 to provide teacher training to Afghan women, to support education for boys and girls, and to provide health education to women and children. Under Dr. Yacoobi’s leadership, AIL has established itself as a groundbreaking, visionary organization which works at the grassroots level.
This spectacular red carpet event took place at Aria Convention Centre in Surrey on September 13. With over 700 guests in attendance, this black-tie affair commenced at 6 p.m. in the backdrop of glamour and grandeur.
This year is special for DARPAN Awards as not only is it the 10th Anniversary of the event but it marks 10 successful years honouring and encouraging the contributions of the South Asian community.
