Bio:

Steven Purewal is the founder of non-profit society Indus Media Foundation Canada. Purewal is an avid collector of military memorabilia and has spent many years tracking the India World War One story.

He is the creator of Duty, Honour & Izzat: The Call to Flanders Fields WW1 Centennial exhibition, which details the story of 500,000 Punjabi combatants who fought alongside Canadians in the WW1.

The exhibition was put together in 2014 to celebrate the hundredth anniversary of the First World War. Purewal collected primary sources such as government citations, medals, artwork, personal letters, newspaper clippings and other documents that were displayed at the exhibit.
